	Traditional Thai Massage Training Schedule 2010

Welcome to the art of traditional Thai massage--one of the most treasured therapies to the western world.
Through exciting, multidimensional educational classes in this ancient form of healing, Jongrak Intatha, a Thai native and master Instructor, will teach you the history, culture, and traditional Thai massage techniques.

She will take you on a comprehensive journey involving touching, stretching and rolling motions designed to evoke relaxation and detoxification of the body. You will learn the development of moves, techniques and appropriate sequences of movements for use either in isolation or as part of a full body massage.

We are committed to the development of a study program in traditional Thai massage that maintains the dignity and purity of this ancient healing art and establishes an internationally recognized standard of excellence--not only for traditional Thai massage practitioners but for all massage therapists, body workers and individuals interested in exploring this unique art form.

 Practitioner course consists of 9 day (60 training hours), and will cover all concepts necessary to perform Ancient Thai massage to the whole body and apply more than 100 techniques taught from the Northern Style Tradition of Ancient Thai Massage.
These techniques will allow you to perform a 1 ? to 2 hour treatment with emphasis on creating personalized treatments for each client. This course teaches the history, origins and development of Traditional Thai Massage.
 You will learn:

• The theory of Thai Massage as an aspect of a complete medical system and be able to evaluate contra-indications and limitations for the use of Thai Massage

• The development of moves, techniques and appropriate sequences of movements for use either in isolation or as part of a full body massage. The techniques through the utilization of exercises for the development of concentration, balance, attention, self-awareness and intuitive practice to develop attention. improve palpation and body listening skills

• Emphasis is placed on meeting your individual needs, body mechanics, safety considerations, energetic components, and graceful transitions

The foundation of Thai Massage will be taught with a lecture and demonstration. Classes will show clear demonstrations of the movements followed by supervised practice of the four basic positions: front, side, back and sitting. The class will show how to use your own proper body mechanics to perform a variety of relaxation and stretching techniques, giving time for discussion and questions. The supervised practice between students will be guided step-by-step through each series of movements. After completing the course, the student will be asked to practice several full body massages.
